Strengths Lab
Learn to enhance everything you do naturally well!
Why do we usually focus on our weaknesses and not on our strengths?
Our society constantly pushes us to focus on what we lack. The glass-half-empty perspective. We've been taught that only by working on our weaknesses will we improve as people.
We focus only on those "trendy" skills that our society has taught us, neglecting other key qualities like optimism, gratitude, and many more that we don't usually hear about.
What if we changed our perspective? What if we learned to see others through their strengths? What if we found another way to become the best version of ourselves?

The model
In 2000, the father of Positive Psychology, Martin Seligman, asked himself the following question: if we have a manual that describes everything that happens in the mind, how many ailments are there (referring to the DSM-IV diagnostic manual).
Why can't we have a manual on everything the human mind can do at its best? Everything that enhances and empowers people?
Then, together with Christopher Peterson, they embarked on a three-year project to map what they called " character strengths ." They looked at different cultures, studying different periods in history. They developed research and questionnaires.
This led to a model of 24 strengths, divided into 6 categories.
This model is not only still relevant today, but it's growing in popularity. It's being used in education, organizations, mental health, couples therapy, coaching... and hopefully, you can use it too. And take it to as many places as possible.

What are Strength Labs?
The Strengths Labs are a project where we seek to spread the mission initiated by Martin Seligman and Christopher Peterson in the Spanish-speaking world. We believe that our world truly needs to empower all human strengths, combining them to solve humanity's most pressing problems.
We have two main goals : to help people focus on their positive aspects , developing their self-confidence and self-esteem; and to show how, in reality, we are constantly combining them with the strengths of other people .
We started in 2020, in the midst of the strict pandemic lockdowns, seeking to provide resilience tools. The results were so significant that it became a movement in itself. In these two years, we've delivered over 20 Strengths Labs, which have been attended by over 300 people and over 5 companies.
What do we dream of? One day reaching 1,000,000 people. Schools, workplaces, universities.
By instilling this new perspective in all those who impact the education and development of others: teachers, therapists, coaches, human resources professionals, leaders, and directors.
That each human group stops competing, manages to overcome its differences and can combine those strengths... To focus them on everything that our planet so urgently needs.
